New approval of light quadricycles, category L6E BP.
ON 15 JANUARY 2013, A NEW REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION NO 168/2013/EUWAS ADOPTED, WHICH ENTERED INTO FORCE IN POLAND ON 1 JANUARY 2019 AND THUS REPLACED THE OLD DIRECTIVE 2002/24/EC.
Specifications of the vehicle meeting the L6E BP categories:
The category covers only cars manufactured after 2016 and applies to all brands of micro vehicles (light quadricycles).
Provisions:
OJ 2011 No. 30 item 151 Roz. 1. Article 6. notes that the following categories of driving licences are currently eligible for L6e L6eBP: AM, A1, A2, A, B1, B, C1, C, D1, D and T.
OJ 2011 No. 30 item 151 Roz. 1. Article 8 shall state the following minimum age for drivers:
1) 14 years - for vehicles specified in the driving licence cat. AM

Article 133.2.
A moped card issued on the basis of the provisions of the Act of 20 June 1997 - Traffic Law shall remain valid until its holder reaches the age of 18. The moped card shall be exchanged, at the expense of the authorised person, for a category AM licence, provided that the person is over 14 years of age.
